Motivated and provided work direction and technical training to the Installation and Repair team,
responsibilities included; campus installations, Voice / Data, Fiber Optics, Broadband, RF, Cable Data
Modems, Switches, Multiplexers, CSU’s and Wireless Access Points, including maintenance, testing and troubleshooting. Responsible for hiring and evaluation of technical staff, while promoting team work.

As a part of the Installation and Repair team, performed Network Installation, Maintenance, Testing and troubleshooting for the Fiber Optic Network, maintained and updated all Fiber records. Designed and
maintained the Fiber Optic Backbone, performed upgrades and re-routes to existing circuitry, assigned
circuit ID’s and documentation, maintained the fiber layouts and asbuilts for the campus. Consulted with customers to discuss their fiber optic requirements and provided recommendations. Worked effectively and responsibly with the UCSD Planning group to provide our customers with the highest in industry
standards and quality of service.

Hospital to bid on cable projects for building upgrades and new buildings, delegated and supervised projects, tested circuitry, provided test
results, and performed all adds, moves and changes for voice and data projects.
June 1991 to June 1993
Temporary employee hired to cable voice, video and data, installed riser cables, station cables, and performed add, moves and changes for the Hillcrest Medical Center, and new construction at Thornton
Hospital. Installed KSU’s at remote sites and decommission 1A2 System
