I accomplished many things from this job. The major things I accomplished was dealing with difficult situations and finding ways around them to make the job go faster and smoother.
While doing this job I had to be a well driven individual working on side hills for multiple hours, working in the hot sun, working long hour days, use hand tools for digging 4 feet into the hard rocky ground, and working a constant speed all day long.

● Installing hardwood flooring
● Delivering hardwood flooring
● Refinish hardwood flooring

● Clean hardwood flooring
I accomplished learning something new, surprising my boss/owner of the company with my work only being 17 years old at the time. Evan the boss/owner had me doing jobs all on my own after working there for a month. I also accomplished a good work ethic working by myself and around customers.
The main skills I used were being on time, polite, hard working, getting the job done, and making sure the customer was happy.
June 2011 to March 2012
● Cultivated corn
● Swathed, raked, and baled alfalfa
● Irrigated crops
● Fixed fence
● Hauled hay off fields
● Assisted with mechanic work on farm equipment
● Hauled manure with front end loader
● Used skid steer to unload and load semis
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter of recommendation at the request of Jade Deschamps. He has asked me to write this general letter which he may show to any prospective employer who asks him for references.
My husband and I are farm/ranch owners and operators and have been associated with agriculture all of our lives since youth. Jade is our grandson who came for the summers to visit and to help with our operation.
Jade has worked at our farm in South Dakota for many summers since his childhood. Responsibilities included animal husbandry, machinery operation, mechanical repairs, construction, and various miscellaneous jobs. Most of the jobs were learned by him from his youth, so he developed a good sense of assessment, planning, problem solving, and outcome skills used in farming and ranching.
Many of the jobs associated with his work required decision making skills of a constant nature without someone readily available to assist. Jade always seemed willing to make those decisions without hesitation. Farming and ranching, as with all businesses, requires a constant assessment of methods used for a desired outcome and adapting accordingly. Jade always seemed to be aware and willing to approach his work with these things in mind. Also, Jade was willing to work the long hours associated with our operation which is many times difficult for a young person to do.
Our surrounding neighbors commented on Jade being personable and interested in his work which was good to hear. A good community reputation is important with agriculture in order to maintain a “help each other” atmosphere that the agriculture community enjoys.
